Collage Kits

Welcome artists!

My name is Chris, and I’m an artist based out of New Jersey. I wanted to share collage with my community, and so I started making and distributing collage kits around town. Some are made available for sale, while some are distributed for free via Little Public Libraries.

The kits are not available to buy online at this time. But please reach out if you would be interested in getting your hands on one.

If you have a kit in hand, please read on…

What’s in your pack?

• Assorted papers (magazine pages, maps, paper scraps, etc)
• One 5.5” x 8.5” white card for mounting your first piece

What else do I need?

• Something to stick with, like a glue stick (or tape)
• Something to cut with, like scissors (or just tear the papers with your hands)

That’s all, really!

What next?

Embrace your creative self. There are no rules in art.

But I know, figuring out where to start can be hard. So here are some resources I’ve put together to help you. Check back again soon, as I’ll continue to develop these as time allows.

• Quick start guide: A primer on how I collage.
• Inspiration: Collage artists and resources.

Finally, share your art!

This is by no means an obligation, but I’d be delighted to see what you make with your collage kit. Please feel free to scan or take a photo of your finished art, and send it to me at info@hastilyassembled.art.
